System 8.x Settings - Configuring the iMac
On a Macintosh Computer with TCP/IP and PPP or TCP/IP and Remote Access:
- First, to change the phone number go to: File -> Control Panel -> PPP

- Change the phone number to the one appropriate for your area.
- Close the window, and click Yes to save
If you have Remote Access (not PPP) enabled:
- Go to File -> Control Panel -> Remote Access

- Make the appropriate changes, close the window, and click Yes to save
To change the Domain Name Server settings:
- Go to File -> Control Panel -> TCP/IP

- Change the numbers under Name Server Addr. to 204.174.16.4 and 204.174.18.2
- Close window and save
System 8 Settings - Internet Assistant- Double click on Internet Setup Assistant then click update
Click the right arrow to advance to each step - Choose Add Internet Configuration
- Type wkpowerlink in name box
Choose Modem for connection - Choose your modem and settings
- Type the appropriate information for connection phone #, full email address and password
- Choose No for IP Address
- Type the DNS numbers in box
207.102.129.1 and 207.102.129.1 Domain Name is wkpowerlink.com - Enter full email address and password
- Type full email address
SMTP is mail.wkpowerlink.com - Newsgroups is news.wkpowerlink.com
- You're Done!

System 8 Settings - Control PanelsPPP- Open Control Panels folder
- Double Click on Config PPP
- Click Options and fill in the information as indicated in the graphics below
- Click OK
TCP/IP- Open Control Panels folder
- Double Click TCP/IP and fill in the screen as below

- Open Control Panels
- Double Click on Config PPP
- Click Config button
- Fill in Phone Number and modem information
- Click Authentication
- Enter full email address, password and Retry information
