Microsoft Outlook Express: Modifying Current E-mail Setting

Go here if you need to add another profile using Outlook Express 4.

    Outlook Express Window.
  • Select Tools in the Menu Bar.
  • Select Accounts.
  • The Internet Accounts dialog box [Fig. 2] will appear.

  • Type your ISP mail server name in Mail account box.
  • Type your name in Name box.
  • Type your company's name in Organization box.
  • Type your e-mail address in E-mail address box.
  • You may type your e-mail address in Reply Address box.
  • Click Servers folder and the dialog box [Fig. 3b] will appear.

  • Type your ISP mail server address in Outgoing mail (SMTP) box and in Incoming mail (POP3) box.
  • Type your userID in Account name box.
  • Type your password in Password box.
  • Click Connection folder and the Connection dialog box [Fig. 3c] will appear.

  • Connection dialog box.
  • In the Connection section, place a dot in the appropriate radio button.
  • Make sure your Dial-Up Networking setup is listed in the Modem section box.
  • Click Apply button.
  • Click OK button all the way back to Outlook Express window.
