Connecting your Win95 Computer to the Net
- Double Click the Internet Icon on the Desktop. OR Click Start, Programs, Accessories, Internet Tools, Get on the Internet.
- The Internet Connection Wizard should start
Click Next
- Setup Options
Choose Manual and Click Next
- Welcome to Internet Setup
Click Next
- How to Connect
Choose: Connect using my phone line & Click Next
- Internet Mail
Say Yes to Windows Messaging if you intend to use the "In Box" for your e-mail. Say No if you intend to use any other e-mail software program. Click Next
I>Service Provider Information Type WKPowerLink & click Next
- Phone Number
Enter area code and phone number ie. Trail - 364-2000, Castlegar - 365-0511, Nelson - 352-6660, Grand Forks - 442-0611, Oliver/Osoyoos - 498-2633, Kaslo - 353-2038, Penticton - 490-3450, Kamloops - 374-4170 or 374-4985, Kelowna - 763-2333, Salmo - 352-6660 Pick Canada from the Country list
- Username & Password
Enter full username. Ie. username@wkpowerlink.com Enter your Password & Click Next
- IP Address
Choose: My Internet Service Provider automatically assigns me one & Click Next
- DNS Server Address
For Server type: 204.174.16.4 For Alternate type: 204.174.18.2 Click Next
- Complete Configuration
Click Finish
You are done!!
